Wyeth Wedding Inspiration on Style Me Pretty

A few months ago, on a cold & snowy morning, we joined several talented local wedding vendors at the Brandywine River Museum in Chadds Ford to bring the artwork of Andrew Wyeth alive. Alive in a  bridal shoot, that is. Inspired by some of Wyeth's most famous works, like his Helga portraits, we created flower crowns and wildflower bouquets that are so reminiscent of the Brandywine Valley. Photographed by Juliana Laury and styled & planned by Shannon of Bottle Pop Party Co., the shoot turned out so beautifully and we're honored to have it featured on the best of the best in wedding blogs, Style Me Pretty. Read all about our inspiration and see the rest of the gallery here.

An Award-Winning Moroccan Boho Sweetheart Table

Last month, we partnered up with our favorite wedding planners, Bottle Pop Party Company, to create an over-the-top, spectacular Sweetheart Table for the Top Table Competition! The competition took place at the non-profit City of Hope's annual "Let Them Eat Cake" competition. We gathered with the area's best bakers & designers at the Doubletree in Philadelphia to put together a phenomenal show! We're happy to report that together, we took home first place in the Top Table contest!

With only a 5 foot square space to work with, we loaded up every square inch with colorful details.  From the wooden arch, draped with sparkling fabrics and Moroccan lanterns to the layers of beaded pillows on top of the rug, we stuck to a a blue, green and purple color palette with pops of hot pink.

By combining several different varieties of flowers including ranunculus, amnesia roses, hydrangea and orchids, we created a color blocking effect that was visible from across the room! We then added a garland of the same flowers under the glass table top that flowed through the carved Moroccan table and draped down onto the ground.

We had so much fun putting together this elaborate table and are so excited that the show guests decided that it was the best in show!

Romance at the Rockwood Carriage House

We're so excited to share Megan and Dan's soft and romantic wedding at the Rockwood Carriage House in Wilmington, Delaware. Beautifully shot by photographer Alix Passage, the flowers Megan and Dan chose were the softest of peach and pink roses mixed with bunches of white hydrangea. The table centerpieces were accented by gray dusty miller & strands of pearls while the bride's bouquet sparkled with the addition of a few floral gems. The Rockwood Carriage House was a beautiful backdrop for Megan and Dan's romantic wedding!

Glamour & Grace Feature

Happy first day of Spring! To kick off the end of this long frigid winter, we're happy to show off a gorgeous garden wedding shoot we helped create that is featured on Glamour & Grace. The light was captured perfectly by Kate's Lens Photography and gorgeous greenery was the backdrop for our many bright bouquets and arrangements.  This one really captures the essence of spring!

Have You Seen Our Chuppah?

Even though there’s snow outside, everything here at Fresh Designs is gorgeous and green! We’ve been busy handcrafting luscious bouquets for our winter brides and working with beautiful blooms for bridal shows across the Philadelphia area. We’ve been working with Shannon from Bottle Pop Party Company, who’s brought unique and thoughtful details into the styling of several events.

Most recently, you may have seen our gorgeous wooden arch set up at the Merion Tribute House’s bridal open house. Our table under the arch was set with deep purple linens and topped with custom watercolor wedding stationary, including table number, escort cards & invitation.  Mercury glass vases were filled with roses and tea lights twinkled across the table. But the showstopper was what hung above it all.

Our natural wood arch, or chuppah, with its interlocking branches and twigs, was topped with live moss and strung with Moroccan lanterns. The arch is the perfect ceremony backdrop. Drape it with sheer fabric or wrap it with fairy lights, the possibilities of customization are endless.  The arch is available to rent and Bottle Pop and I are bursting with ideas for it. We’d love to create a beautiful backdrop for your wedding day.
